Why it matters
Oranland uses 20-gauge steel panels with 1.2 in diameter steel piping, much thicker than typical tubing, and a redesigned baseplate it says holds 300 lb. It measures 47.5 x 31.5 x 36 in and weighs about 84 lb. Oranland notes the steel can be noisy as a dog moves, and suggests leaving the door open at first to help dogs adjust.
Who it's for, and who should skip it

Pros and cons

- 1.2 in steel piping
- 300 lb baseplate

Limitations to weigh
- Heavy-duty crates help with strong or escape-prone dogs, but severe crate anxiety needs training and vet advice, not only a stronger box.
