Why it matters
The gate fits openings up to 55 in at 34 in tall. A colored lock signal shows when it is secure, and the press-and-push lock opens one-handed. The lower bracket moves up or down to clear baseboards.

Pros and cons
Pros
- Low price
- Lock signal
- Adjustable bracket
Cons
- Drilling
- Mesh chewable

Limitations to weigh
- Retractable mesh gates mount with hardware; chewers can damage mesh, so supervise at first.
- For jumpers, choose a gate taller than your dog can clear from a standstill; most dogs need at least shoulder height plus several inches.
