Why it matters
The 18 in launcher extends your arm for faster, longer throws and picks balls up without bending or touching slobber. The PRO style adds a comfort grip. It fits 2.5 in balls for dogs 20–60 lb, and a glow-in-the-dark high-bounce ball is included.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Medium dogs
- Parks
- Daily fetch
Look elsewhere if
- Small indoor spaces
- Toy breeds
- Owners who can't throw safely near others
Pros and cons
Pros
- Long throws
- Hands-free pickup
- Low price
Cons
- Arm effort
- One ball
- Medium balls only
Limitations to weigh
- Use only the ball size the launcher is made for, and make sure the ball is too large for your dog to swallow.
- Skip long fetch sessions in heat and give water breaks; puppies and dogs with joint problems need shorter, gentler play.
