Pet Prime Mini Ball Launcher: 2 in Balls, 10/20/30 ft

Why it matters

This mini launcher fires Pet Prime's own 2 in balls (three included) at 10, 20 or 30 ft. Pet Prime warns other balls may jam it. It runs from an adapter or battery and suits small to medium dogs, not large breeds. One-year warranty.

Who it's for, and who should skip it

Good fit if

Small and medium dogs
Indoor play
Apartments

Look elsewhere if

Unsupervised play
Obsessive fetchers without limits
Large dogs (ball too small)

Pros and cons

Pros

Compact
Three distances
Warranty

Cons

Own balls only
Not for large dogs
Small balls

Limitations to weigh

Supervise launcher play, teach your dog to approach from the side, and cap sessions; some dogs will fetch past exhaustion or fixate on the machine.
Use only the ball size the launcher is made for, and make sure the ball is too large for your dog to swallow.
Skip long fetch sessions in heat and give water breaks; puppies and dogs with joint problems need shorter, gentler play.
