Why it matters
The 12 L tank is 304 stainless with a deepened tray to suit big dogs' drinking. Four-stage filtration and a quiet pump keep water moving, and carbon and sponge filters plus an adapter are included. Two-year warranty.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Large dogs
- Multi-pet homes
- Fewer refills
Look elsewhere if
- Owners who won't clean weekly
- Cord chewers (use cordless)
- Outdoor use (unless rated)
Pros and cons
Pros
- 12 L
- Deep tray
- Two-year warranty
Cons
- Large footprint
- Weekly cleaning
- Corded
Limitations to weigh
- Take the fountain apart and clean the pump weekly, and change filters as the maker directs; slime builds up fast in warm rooms.
- Keep the cord out of reach of chewers, and keep the pump covered with water so it doesn't run dry.
