Why it matters
Too big to carry and weighted to roll and stop like livestock, the ball invites herding dogs to push and steer it. A zip cover takes the wear and the inner ball can be replaced, with patches and a hand pump included. The 25 in size suits dogs about 18–40 lb; Race&Herd suggests 30 in for high-drive or 35 lb+ dogs.
