Why it matters
Garmin's bark-differentiating technology aims to respond only to your dog's barks. Auto Rise automatically adjusts correction, and a Bark Odometer counts barks so you can see whether it is working and reduce over-correction. Integrated stainless contact points fit all coat thicknesses. It weighs 2.5 oz. One-year warranty.

Limitations to weigh
- Find out why your dog barks first: boredom, fear, separation distress and alerting all need different fixes, and a bark collar can make fear or anxiety worse.
- Automatic collars correct every bark they detect, including alarm or distress barks; never leave one on an unsupervised dog for long periods.
- Follow the maker's wear limit (often no more than 8 to 12 hours a day), check the neck daily and move the unit to avoid pressure sores.
- Static modes are aversive; welfare groups advise trying beep and vibration, enrichment and training before any static correction.
