Bark Control
Vibration, spray, ultrasonic and static bark collars, handheld deterrents and stations, compared on how they correct and who they suit.
Bark collars respond automatically when they detect barking. Vibration and ultrasonic collars avoid static; spray collars use citronella or unscented spray; static collars escalate through levels. Handheld deterrents only work when you press the button, and bark stations react to any dog within range.
No device fixes the reason a dog barks. Boredom, fear, territory and separation distress need different answers, and a collar that punishes fear-based barking can make it worse.
