Why it matters
Vailge's standard size is 56 x 60 in and the XL 60 x 64 in, larger than most covers. It has two waterproof layers (coated 600D Oxford plus TPU), side flaps and a mesh window so your dog can see you, held by four headrest straps and seat anchors.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Larger vehicles
- Dogs that settle when they can see you
- Muddy dogs
Look elsewhere if
- Crash restraint
- Small cars (may be oversized)
- Chewers
Pros and cons
Pros
- Two waterproof layers
- Mesh window
- Large sizes
Cons
- Not a restraint
- Bulkier to store
- Mesh can be clawed
Limitations to weigh
- A seat cover protects the car, not the dog in a crash; use a car harness, secured crate or barrier for restraint.
