Why it matters
Included wire covers 1.33 acres, and the system expands to 100 acres. The collar warns with tone or vibration before multiple static levels and is DryTek submersible to 25 ft.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Farms
- Big land
- Water dogs
Look elsewhere if
- Dogs that chase traffic or wildlife hard
- Fearful or reactive dogs
- Homes near busy roads without a physical fence
Pros and cons
Pros
- 100 acres
- Submersible
- Vibration warning
Cons
- Digging
- Price
- Static
Limitations to weigh
- Invisible fences don't stop other animals or people coming in, and a determined dog may run through the boundary and then be blocked from returning.
- Containment systems need several weeks of flag training with rewards; welfare groups advise a qualified trainer and physical fencing where possible.
- Static corrections are aversive; use tone or vibration first and the lowest level that works.
