Why it matters
The 15 L container fits a large bag of food and handles kibble from 2 to 23 mm. Two stand heights raise the bowl, a recorded voice calls your dog, and the bowl is stainless. It is programmed on the unit (no Wi-Fi) and runs on power or batteries. One-year warranty.
Who it's for, and who should skip it
Good fit if
- Giant kibble
- Large dogs
- No-app preference
Look elsewhere if
- Long absences without a sitter
- Wet food (unless supported)
- Dogs that break into hoppers
Pros and cons
Pros
- 15 L
- Raised stand
- No Wi-Fi needed
Cons
- No remote control
- Price
- Bulky
Limitations to weigh
- Automatic feeders can jam or lose power; test for a few days before you travel, keep a backup plan, and never leave a dog alone for days with only a feeder.
- Check portions against your dog's feeding guide; 'cups' on feeders are rarely a true 8 oz measuring cup.
