Why it matters
The 3-step model is 13.6 in tall for couches up to 15 in. A rubber-dot base adds friction, and the zip cover hand or machine washes (the foam core does not). Rated for pets up to 25 lb. Six-month warranty.
Who it's for, and who should skip it

- Small dogs and cats
- Low couches
- Seniors
Look elsewhere if
- Large heavy dogs (check rating)
- Chewers
- Very high beds
Pros and cons
Pros
- Grippy base
- Washable cover
- Compact
Cons
- 25 lb limit
- Low height
- Short warranty
Limitations to weigh
- Measure the bed or couch height first; the top step should be level with or just below it.
- Longer ramps give gentler angles; dogs with arthritis or back problems usually do better with a gentler slope than with steps.
