BHCEY Wireless Dog Fence
The cheapest way into a wireless boundary, and it doubles as a remote trainer for up to three dogs. The boundary adjusts across 16 steps from 30 to 800 ft; the brand is less established than PetSafe or Dogtra.
PetSafe Stay & Play Wireless Fence with Replaceable Battery Collar
The same Stay & Play circle (up to 3/4 acre) with a collar that runs on a swappable RFA-67 battery, so there's no charging, at a lower price than the rechargeable kit.
Dogtra SMART FENCE
Adds an 85 dB in-home alarm and app alerts when your dog nears or leaves the boundary, with 24 correction levels and no subscription. Outdoor use only, for dogs 25 lb and up.
PetSafe Wireless Pet Containment System
PetSafe's classic portable fence: a circle 10–180 ft across, up to 1/2 acre. Keep the transmitter 3 ft from metal or the boundary shrinks.
PetSafe Stay & Play Compact Wireless Fence
A compact transmitter covering up to 3/4 acre that sets up in 1–2 hours, with a rechargeable collar lasting about 3 weeks and fitting dogs from 5 lb.
PetSafe Stay & Play Wireless Fence for Stubborn Dogs
The Stay & Play circle with a stronger set of static levels for hard-to-contain dogs. Use it only with careful training, and try the standard kit first.
How to choose between them
Wireless fences draw a circle around the transmitter, so they suit fairly open, round yards; long or narrow lots waste space or leave gaps. Metal roofs, siding and vehicles can shrink the boundary.
Any electronic fence needs weeks of flag training, and a determined dog can run through the boundary. Use one alongside supervision, never as the only barrier near a road.
